== Basic Information =Daphne "Daffy" Hope is a girl of twelve years. She is the younger sister of Sally Hope, Darrel's best friend.When Daphne joins Malory Towers, Felicity Rivers is the head girl. However, she is sometimes the opposite of her elder sister, Sally. Daffy has two sides to her character: A sensible girl who is the darling of the family and a mischievous girl who loves playing tricks. She is best friends with Katie and Edith, Lizzie Mannering's little sister. Daffy, Katie and Edith make a trio when Edith comes to Malory Towers in her second term. Daffy is also one of Mam'zelle Dupont's favorites.
Daphne tends to get into trouble when her hilarious tricks go a step too far and endanger or injure another student or teacher.
